I started a new module which provides a remote bean shell.
http://svn.magnolia.info/svn/modules/community/magnolia-module-shell
It starts the shell on port 7000 (browser) 7001 (telnet). You have to
provide the superuser password (plain text) and you can only connect
from the local host.
To enable the servlet you have to uncomment the related part in the
module's descriptor. Attention this servlet is not really protected
once you have logged into the admin interface.
As this module will be very handy I'm sure that many improvements
will follow
