Did a 'logs' directory and a 'repositories' directory show up in magnoliaAuthor?

If so, the webapp started. Take a look at magnolia-debug.log in the magnoliaAuthor/logs directory. If not, the logs have to have some reference to the webapp and what happened if magnoliaAuthor was stored in the correct location for your jboss installation.
