Magnolia 3.6 Milestone 1 released
-----------------------------------------------
Magnolia proudly announces the immediate availability of the
first milestone release for Magnolia 3.6.
This is not a production release. The goal of this release
is to gather feedback from the community and to consolidate
our development efforts towards a final release, expected
within the next 4 weeks.
Magnolia 3.6 makes Magnolia faster and more robust. It
introduces considerable performance enhancements,
transactional activation, a new cache API and a new backup
tool that allows to migrate version information.
Changes made in the way we version and activate content
could be quite sensitive and we encourage you to test this
release and provide feedback.
The next milestone release is planned to provide the
following additional functionalities:
* update from 3.5 to 3.6
* improved cache strategies
* fix of many minor issues
