Hi, I am attempting to set up a simple magnolia author --> public publishing arrangement using Magnolia CE6.3 deployed on weblogic 10. To install on weblogic 10 I followed http://documentation.magnolia.info/administration/containers/weblogic.ht ml these notes appear to be directed at the EE version but there is no installation documentation available for the CE version that I could find, I installed as an exploded archive and added a weblogic.xml to WEB-INF with <show-archived-real-path-enabled>true</show-archived-real-path-enabled>. Everything appears to work OK but when I attempt to activate from Magnolia CE instance deployed on Tomcat as author. I get the following error:
Not able to send the activation request [http://localhost:7001/magnoliaPublic/.magnolia/activation]: Server returned HTTP response code: 401 for URL: http://localhost:7001/magnoliaPublic/.magnolia/activation on magnoliaPublic7001: 1 error detected: Previous mailing list discussions have suggested this is related to the superuser account not being active on both instances with the same password but as this is a fresh install and I can log onto both instances with the superuser account with the same password I find that unlikely. Interestingly I also tried the enterprise version which I notice includes an extra weblogic module, using the EE version activation and publishing works flawlessly. Is Weblogic 10 not a tested / supported deployment container for Magnolia CE?, or are there some extra steps that the EE version does automatically I am required to follow? ------------------- Matt Dewbery Datacom Systems ---------------------------------------------------------------- for list details see http://documentation.magnolia.info/ ----------------------------------------------------------------
