Today I decided to run a 64-bit uml_moo (a local version, where I had . I did
a non destructive merge, and tried to boot the FS.

The result was various errors when booting on it (tons of corruptions); I ran
e2fsck on it (from the host) and it spit out hundreds of screenfuls of
errors.

So my recommendation is still to use a 32-bit version of uml_moo, and probably
of other COW tools (uml_mkcow should be safe but there's no reason using it
in general).
