Subject: [uml-user] Possibly networking/libc6 problem on 2.4.26 Debian
rootstrapped system

After setting up a UML system using "rootstrap" in Debian Unstable
I get the following problems:

- running "$ host <somehost>" freezes the system.

- trying to install apache2 freezes the system.

- installing and starting ssh freezes the system.

I suspect that all these problems are closely related.

interesting files can be found at http://www.cs.aau.dk/~ledet/uml/

host is not skas-enabled

Hi,

I had similar problem while trying to compile ssh on my uml host too. For me,
it was a problem of memory (not enought).
So launch your uml with mem=<an higher value>

Giving it 256MB to play with doesnt help. I'm not trying to compile ssh either - just trying to install the binary Debian package. I think it freezes while trying to do a look-up of some sorts.
