I recently tried to compile a new UML on a new installation of FC5 (comes with gcc-4.1.0).
It failed to compile arch/um/os-Linux/sys-i386/registers.c as it didn't know JB_PC, JB_SP and JB_BP. These consts were defined in /usr/include/bits/setjmp.h (on FC4). On FC5 I couldn't find their definition anywhere. I copied the defines: #if defined __USE_MISC || defined _ASM # define JB_BX 0 # define JB_SI 1 # define JB_DI 2 # define JB_BP 3 # define JB_SP 4 # define JB_PC 5 # define JB_SIZE 24 #endif #define _JMPBUF_UNWINDS(jmpbuf, address) \ ((void *) (address) < (void *) (jmpbuf)[JB_SP]) to the file and it compiles OK. I am not very familiar with this code but from what I figured this is where the UML reads the stack pointer, prog counter of a thread. I expect it to be the same on i386 arch (regardless to the FC version). I might be wrong here. AFAIK the threading library has changed recently (not that I understand how it matters here). ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
