Hi!
I have a problem with running ISC DHCP3 client in uml guest.
Everytime dhcp-client runs the MAC-address is set to
FE:FD:00:00:00:00 regardless what I order it to use. It wouldn't be
otherwise a problem but as I'm running several umls every uml gets
same ip address. If I try to change hwaddress with "pre-up ifconfig
eth2 hw address xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx" then it starts to complain that
interface can't be found. If I use static address and order it to
use specific mac-address it works like a charm. Distro is Ubuntu
6.06.1 with following kernels and uml_utilities:
host: 2.6.17.8 with skas-2.6.17-rc5-v9-pre9
guest: 2.6.16.27 with uml-2.6.16-bs2
uml_utilities: uml_utilities_20060323
Network interface for uml uses preconfigured tap device. Any ideas
how could I make it work?
