nodev,nosuid,defaults 0 0
So, I think it's correct.
I don't know exactly what you mean, for sparse, (it may be you are
talking about filesystem capacity) but the root filesystem size is
about 1,5 GB.
gcc version on my gentoo host system is 4.1.1-r1
gcc on guest (debian) system is: 3.3.5 ... I'm going to upgrade it.
In both cases I did "make defconfig" in the root kernel dir.
