Hello,
currently i am beginning with user mode linux.
I always experienced a lot of error messages, telling me about missing
modules.dep files.

i use following kernel linux-2.6.24-x86_64
and following filesystem:Debian-4.0-AMD64-root_fs

both are downloaded from the uml-page

in the filesystem
exist following folder for modules.dep
lib/modules/2.6.18-6-amd64

but the kernel is looking for
lib/modules/2.6.24-g91525300-dirty

Because there were so many warnings about that, a made an alias from the latter
one to the first.
First it seems to work.
But i still get warnings, and am not able to complete setup the network.

Errors are like this:
dm_snapshot: version magic '2.6.18-6-amd64 SMP mod_unload gcc-4.1' should be
'2.6.24-g91525300-dirty mod_unload '

So i would like to know what is the recommened way to deal with my original
kernel-mismatching problem.

Thanks in advance for any help
Jan
