Hi Ram, The officially supported OS versions for Ambari are listed here: http://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.2.1.1/bk_Installing_HDP_AMB/content/_operating_systems_requirements.html
Currently AWS Linux is not officially supported. You are free to try Ambari on AWS Linux to see if it works (as it is based off RHEL) and share with us the outcome.
