Hi, Szilárd,

I am a bit confused by this. The error I found is in the main pom.xml
(apache-ambari-2.7.6-src/pom.xml), yet your suggestion is for another pom.xml.

I am trying to learn by doing (I guess I should start with a project a little
smaller 😊 ), and am looking for useful resources as to build hierarchy – in
regard to multiple pom.xml files. Which pom takes precedence (if at all), the
main project pom or any that are specific to individual plugins or subprojects?

Thanks anyway

Marc

Hi Marc,

The org.apache.zookeeper:zookeeper:pom:3.4.6.2.3.0.0-2557 is still available in
the Hortonworks repository, but it seems to have been moved from the public
group to the released_old group.
To mitigate this issue, all you need to do is change the group in the
apache-hadoop repository URL in the ambari-logsearch/pom.xml from public to
released_old .

https://github.com/apache/ambari/blob/0fc5d4401da8c0dc42f643d27610633321c9ec7e/ambari-logsearch/pom.xml#L77

Best Regards
Szilard

Hi, All,

I am new to Ambari. So I have questions:

Did testing the ambari source not pick this up when constructing ambari 2.7.6,
or is there some failure on my part which fails to find this?
Do the ambari builders have a paid subscription to cloudera’s Horton
repositories?

“Could not find artifact org.apache.zookeeper:zookeeper:pom:3.4.6.2.3.0.0-2557
in apache hadoop (http://repo.hortonworks.com/content/groups/public)”

I manually went to the site, it is not browsable. So I choose either offered
link (eg)

repo/hortonworks.com/service/rest/repository/browse/public/<http://hortonworks.com/service/rest/repository/browse/public/>

but can see nothing resembling zookeeper.

I am also inclined to ask:

Why, after almost 2 years of cloudera restricting access to their repositories,
is hortonworks still being referenced?

Thanks

Marc
