I'm very interested in this as well. We are planning to migrate from deployment
via Ambari to deploying via Bigtop (yay for "OS-native" packaging instead of
Ambari-specific MPacks) but we are not sure about what to use for operational
management and monitoring. Is bigtop-manager going to be a potential choice?
If it's too soon to discuss it as a project, no problem and I look forward to
hearing more at the appropriate time.

Subject: bigtop-manager project vs Apache Ambari

External Email - Exercise Caution

Hi,

I've seen a lot of efforts and progress in bigtop-manager project, done by
Ambari's main developers.
Is bigtop-manager a replacement for Apache Ambari? Would Ambari be abondened
in future (at least by current active developers)?
