Vincent,
#1: the API to retrieve lineage information requires a DataSet entity as a starting point; hence attempt to retrieve lineage for a Process entity fails. If you have usecases to look at lineage graph for a Process, can you please file a JIRA with details? It will help the community to prioritize for the next release. #2: this looks like an interesting usecase. It will help if you can add more details of drill-down/drill-up, perhaps in terms of the steps an user might follow via Atlas UI. On the detailed page of the two tables, a 'lineage' tab is visible and brings me to the details of the lineage for those tables. On the detailed page of the hive process, no lineage table is visible. - Am I doing something wrong in the creation of the entities? - Is this due to the definition of the base model? - Is this linked to a design choice in the Web interface (and API)? If so, what's the rationale? Could this be changed? How to proceed? - Other? 2) I extend the previously created objects by creating hive_column_lineage entities linked to the hive_process and having columns of the table A as input and of the table B as output). By navigating via the relationships between the entities I can get more insights on the individual lineages. I would find it interesting to be able to explode/group some elements of the lineage allowing thereby kind of a drill-down/drill-up and navigating through the lineage. - Is this already supported or would that be a new "feature"? Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Vincent
