Hi Atlas User group I am Saurabh, and working on implementing a typedef system similar to what Atlas has implemented.
My question is *why Atlas does not use Apache Avro for schema resolution, type checks, schema evolution *at the core, and has chosen to implement its own interpretation of the Atlas metadata model? I can see advantages with implementing the same with Avro as below 1. Support for schema checks and validations 2. OOTB support for schema evolution 3.
