The app itself is developed in Clojure, but here's the gist of how it's getting 
configured:

    AwsCredentialsProvider credProvider = 
EnvrionmentVariableCredentialsProvider.create();
    
    pipeline.apply(
      SqsIO.read()
        .withQueueUrl(url)
        .withSqsClientProvider(credProvider, region, endpoint));
