My guess is that the description of the issue with the NPE is the same
but that there is a different underlying issue. I think the control
container management is different from BEA's release in 8.1 and what
is implemented out at Apache Beehive and part of 9.2. The patch
probably is applicable to 9.2 anyway.

I wonder if you've hit the following bug...

If so, you could add a simple repro case and some comments to the bug,
or open a new bug.

As per the doc. it is supposed to be fixed in 8.1 sp4 and above. We are
using 9.2 and we are still getting those errors. So I assume it is not. I
was also not able to find the patch for the bug.
