Bob, If you have time, would you mind to try out this project[1], mainly the park module[2]? That project (/trunk/cip) is my contribution to Apache Click. I usually work on it in my rest time. I'm trying to make a real web application using Click and JPA. That project could be one option for testing new releases of Apache Click as well. In the park module you will see that odd behavior.
