I was wondering if I could use anything else, but I'm not familiar with Apache Commons. :(
Commons provides building blocks, not end user tools, and certainly not something that can act as a plugin in Eclipse. So you have to implement the GUI part yourself. You could consider using Commons-VFS, which would allow you to "upload" the files anywhere; FTP, WebDAV, filesystem, etc.
