Hello,

I have Successfully used Tiff format and saved images on disk which can be
used by many programs on Linux as well on windows. I am also able to
convert colored/grayscale images to B/W in Tiff and resulting file is just
15K range. Since I am using these files in a Flex/BlazeDS/Spring web
application I am finding it difficult to display those files in Flex
application which supports only png/gif/jpg formats natively. So saving
images in png format has become imperative. I tried to save same image in
png format it saves but with my limited exposure to Imaging Lib I could
save image in Grayscale only which resulted in a 450K size file with bit
depth of 8 bits which is not serving the purpose.

Can somebody guide me how can I save image in png format as 1 bit depth
color or any other means so that Image file size is around 15K +/-.

Thanks and warm regards.
