Hi,

+1 to using the dev mailing list as there are more people subscribed.

Some more context that may help with contributing to 1.0. We had a vote for
1.0 some years ago, but we had too many blocker issues. That release was
cancelled, and we started to slowly close the blocker issues for 1.0, and
prepare alpha releases for users to try the code.

Luckily a few of these users provided great feedback, and even pull
requests. There are still some pending issues, but I am confident we don't
need another alpha release, and we can fix all these last issues and
prepare the 1.0 release in the next weeks/months, depending on
contributions received and developer bandwidth.

So feel free to start a discussion in the dev mailing list, or directly on
JIRA or GitHub in a pull request. These are the issues for 1.0:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/issues/?jql=project%20%3D%20IMAGING%20AND%20fixVersion%20%3D%201.0

If you find anything else in JIRA, or any problem with the code, that you
believe deserves to be added to 1.0, either comment in the dev list, or
just use JIRA and suggest the FixVersion for 1.0.

Cheers

Bruno
