Seems like the command line arguments are not getting passed in correctly. Can you try putting the arguments to -u in quotes? sqlline -u "jdbc:drill:zk=xx.xx.xx.x:5181,xx.xx.xx.x:5181,xx.xx.xx.x:5181" Also make sure you're not picking up a different script called sqlline.
