Hi Groot, Looks like the issue here is in JLine: https://github.com/jline/jline3/issues/408 (Drill uses SqlLine which uses JLine). Good thing is that This issue was already fixed in 3.12.0 JLine release and SqlLine 1.9.0 with this version is going to be released soon (see https://groups.google.com/forum/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=footer#!topic/sqlline-dev/tCispf0lKBA), so when it is released and Drill is updated to use this new version, the issue should be fixed.
For now, you may use other JDBC clients or Drill Web-UI to submit queries. Also, I'm wondering which terminal was used, since I'm unable to reproduce it using terminator and default Ubuntu terminal.
