Actually,

Reading this again, it might be a parsing failure. Posting directly to 9200 and 
not to either a beats or Logstash endpoint may make it impossible to 
dynamically map. Dynamic mappings are to my knowledge created through index 
files in Logstash.

However if you tried our (flagon) stack example, posted from you app to 8100 
(Logstash, not 9200) and still got a 405 error, it could be a CORS issue. 
Digging through some docs and will post findings at earliest soonest.

At any rate, it is our intent to upgrade our ELK sample to the deviantony 
build, which is very widely used for docker deployments. See here:
