Apache Zookeeper vs Flink Zookeeper

Hi,

For standalone cluster configuration, is it possible to use vanilla Apache
Zookeeper?

I saw there's a wrapper around it in Flink -  FlinkZooKeeperQuorumPeer. Is
it mandatory to use it?
