Got it, thanks. From: Hitesh Khamesra [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, June 19, 2017 11:46 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Is there a way to control how many connections between server peers?
for gateway sender one can configure dispatcher-threads. Geode will run that many threads in each VM for gateway sender. This should help to reduce the number of connections. see here Configuring Dispatcher Threads and Order Policy for Event Distribution | Geode Docs<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__geode.apache.org_docs_guide_11_developing_events_configuring-5Fgateway-5Fconcurrency-5Flevels.html-23concept-5F6C52A037E39E4FD6AE4C6A982A4A1A85-5F-5Fsection-5F752F08F9064B4F67A80DA0A994671EA0&d=DwMFaQ&c=SFszdw3oxIkTvaP4xmzq_apLU3uL-3SxdAPNkldf__Q&r=HB5LZowSGF4DiMmOUsCX6Q&m=aeAruF7Di2bTHYzOOp1mnaj6ixbJNnHT1tCX8FnRNkQ&s=Ln8dJRyO1HDAg3UtOZ82VQYDR8Zngtg4ArrSHbv2Cv4&e=> Configuring Dispatcher Threads and Order Policy for Event Distribution | Geode Docs ________________________________ From: "Xu, Nan" <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> To: "[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>" <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Sent: Monday, June 19, 2017 9:01 AM Subject: RE: Is there a way to control how many connections between server peers? Close but not exactly, while this one point me to the right doc. https://geode.apache.org/docs/guide/11/managing/monitor_tune/socket_communication_have_enough_sockets.html<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__geode.apache.org_docs_guide_11_managing_monitor-5Ftune_socket-5Fcommunication-5Fhave-5Fenough-5Fsockets.html&d=DwMFaQ&c=SFszdw3oxIkTvaP4xmzq_apLU3uL-3SxdAPNkldf__Q&r=HB5LZowSGF4DiMmOUsCX6Q&m=aeAruF7Di2bTHYzOOp1mnaj6ixbJNnHT1tCX8FnRNkQ&s=og_Z1qzW3GGGWneC_gctPSgKZLlaYq0zWdJ_Z486PKM&e=> still looking for how to controller the connection for gateway sender. And for the servers peers asyn queue, any example for how to use it? Hi, Nan: There is configuration parameter for cache-server: max-connections Default is 800, you can change to bigger number. Is that what you want? I am asking this because we have 2 physical locations with latency 5ms, and replicated region suffer in heavy load because we put them as 1 datacenter. I am not really clear how to use asynchronous queue, is that something we have to program or just configure one? An example maybe? Also for gateway sender, are how many connection to receiver configurable?
