How to uninstall: 1. Go to help > Install new software.
2. Ensure that you have the Apache site available 3. Ensure that Hide items that are already installed are UNCHECKED 4. Select the offending plugin (3.0) in this case. 5. INSTALL it. 6. Now you can uninstall. 7. You will now probably have to restart Eclipse. 8. Go to help > Install new software. 9. Install the 2.2.1 version of the plugin. 10. Update your Runtime configurations. The problem being that the runtime install wizard are using the old Eclipse installation procedure, which unfortunately doesn't add enough information for safe uninstall. By using the new procedure via Help > Install new software the missing information is added.
