Hi Ferdy, With regards to the pom.xml problems you previously highlighted, I've been over to Maven lists to gather opinion on what the relative knock-on effect will be if we were to release this code. You can track the conversation here http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/maven-users/201204.mbox/%3CCAGaRif1E%2BDEn4O2R3Bh%3D1FFdAbK1pRSxu7Fq__RHTtiexQK4uA%40mail.gmail.com%3E
If it turns out that there will be no minimal relative impact (fingers crossed), then I would like to progress with the release, however of course if this is not the case then I will roll RC2. Regardless of what happens above I will make some changes to correct at least one of the issues (with the appending of trunk after the tags in the submodules). However the other may be a bug in the maven release plugin, I am pursuing this line of enquiry as well as I've not received any indication of any other explanation yet.
