actually the eclipse guys are discussing about the pros and cons about
setting up a maven repository containing all eclipse related bundles.
I think sooner or later Gradle could indirectly profit by such an
eclipse maven repo. Building up an Eclipse RCP application using the
PDE builder is pain and there is a lot of space for improvements and
innovations here. Even gradle build scripts for a plain OSGi app with
equinox can profit by such a repository.
Voting for this bug is no big effort, but the advantages it involves
for gradle in the long run could be quite a lot. To vote for that
issue you can either vote directly on the bug using the eclipse
bugzilla ( https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=283745 ) or
