I must have missed the discussion.
I have to admit, people's protocol on this list in dealing with replies
leads to horrendously large emails with (OK I exaggerate a bit) two
lines of reply 13 pages down a 20 page email. I tend to delete these
without reading. It would be far better if people didn't work on the
principle that you had to keep the entire history of the whole
"conversation" in each email, but instead assumed people keep the thread
and elide everything from the email that is not directly and immediately
pertinent to the response. But then maybe I am the one out of sync?
