Sorry for the premature post. I found
http://www.gradle.org/tutorial_groovy_projects.html and added
repositories {
mavenCentral()
}
dependencies {
groovy group: 'org.codehaus.groovy', name: 'groovy', version: '1.7.0'
}
and think I am on my way now.
