I would say that a GPU on the remote desktop server side could help to offload CPU resources for the remote desktop server itself, and improve performance of that server. It is unlikely to make any measurable impact on the performance or load of the client (web browser), as that will still be receiving the same amount of information. There's been discussion of trying to support GPU offloading within guacd, but nothing has been done on that, yet. -Nick
