For the server connection to AD for users, you might want to look at the
LDAP section of the documentation and some of the other threads, such as "
LDAP and MySQL do SSO to RDP".   There are plenty of example online of how
to make this work.
You will have to create an AD user for the LDAP client to connect as though
to validate accounts.  Be aware that doing this with a plain AD setup, it
will be passing all creds on the network in plain text.  You will need to
install certificates on your AD server to enable LDAPS.
