I am having trouble finding a definitive answer about OpenJDK vs Sun JDK in regards to building Hadoop. This: http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/HadoopJavaVersions Indicates that OpenJDK is not recommended, but is that an authoritative answer? BUILDING.txt states no preference.
