I'm just getting started with hadoop map reduce, and installed 1.2.1 a couple of days ago and got some of the examples running.
Moving to 2.2.0 seems like a good idea, so I've downloaded it and began looking at the examples. However, it appears that the environment and setup for 2.2.0 is different from 1.2.1. But the only docs I can find are the r2.1.0-beta docs, which do not seem to be written for a new user.(See for instance the instructions under Setting up the Environment for the r2.1.0-beta docs). Might there be more beginner-oriented docs for the 2.2.0 release available? Thanks, Justine
