Hi! It's my first message on this list. I've been reading about big data subjects on the net for quite a while, and it's the first time I saw a mention of Hama, and BSP. I think I saw a reference to Hama in the context of an article about YARN.
The home page says that Hama is an implementation of BSP, but I don't actually have the impression that BSP is a well-know model (or maybe it's just more popular in the academic community?), and I don't' think spelling out the accronym really helps either explain what it's about. So what I wanted to say is, I think it would help anyone finding the homepage of Hama "by accident", to describe in some details what BSP actually is, and why/when you would want to use it. I have quite a few other questions, as the documentation is somewhat "thin", but I will ask them each on an individual post.
