hadoop and hbase mode

Hi,
 
I wanted to setup Hadoop and Hbase in one remote server and Hbase client 
running in another system.
 
Please let me know which mode should the Hadoop and Hbase be running in the 
remote server. Pseudo-distributed or distributed mode?
 
Previously I had Hadoop, Hbase and hbase client all running in single system. 
Now I wanted to move the Hadoop and Hbase to remote system and test the client.
