In particular, there is now a description of the compaction selection algorithm…. http://hbase.apache.org/book.html#compaction … many thanks to Nicholas for proving insight into this. Also, a section for coprocessors was created in Arch/RegionServer has been added, pointing to the great blog entry on the subject.
