Hello, I am not clear about heartbeats. After HBase introduce Progress heartbeats for long running scanners[1], I think client does not get SocketTimeoutException. Because client know that scanner in region server is still working. But When I executed scan with filter (many consecutive filtered pit cells), Sometimes I got SocketTimeoutException.
