Wildcard support in specifying file location

Hi,

I am newbie  to Hive . While creating external tables, can we use wildcard
to specify file location.
i.e:

STORED AS TEXTFILE LOCATION 's3://root/*/date*/'

Is the above specification valid in hive 0.7.1?
