hello HIVE team,
I have couple of questions to HIVE metrics exposed via UI, hive version 3.1.3
in this case.
I wanted originally to gather/chart via the metrics dump number of operations
done on hive server.
In the UI I have found out 2 to me interesting metrics, operations and sql
operations, however in the documentation on age
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/Hive/Hive+Metrics, I have not found
any explanation/description, what those metrics represent.
Could someone maybe describe, what is/increments operations and sql operations
metrics and if there is some relation between those 2 types, like sql
operations is subset of operations ?
In the JSON metric dump, those look like (N being some number):
"hs2_completed_operation_CLOSED": N,
"hs2_completed_operation_ERROR": N,
"hs2_completed_operation_FINISHED": N,
"hs2_completed_sql_operation_CLOSED": N,
"hs2_completed_sql_operation_ERROR": N,
