by default Ignite 2.+ stores all data in off heap, but you can turn on on-heap too: https://apacheignite.readme.io/v2.1/docs/memory-configuration#on-heap-caching Looks like you use ignite 2.0, there was a bug about this: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IGNITE-5461 visor just shows wrong values about "OffHeap allocated size" and "OffHeap Entries Count". According jira it should be fixed in 2.1 version.
