/commented by dmitriy setrakyan/ Actually, the answer is No, it has on-heap partitioned -> off-heap partitioned. The near cache is mostly a client-side cache with most recently accessed data. It is generally not very big and can be always kept on-heap.
You can think about Near cache as a client-side caching layer which sits in front of the partitioned cache. Hope this makes sense. ----- /This post is migrated from now discontinued Apache Ignite forum at http://apacheignite.readme.io/v1.0/discuss/ -- View this message in context: http://apache-ignite-users.70518.x6.nabble.com/Partitiond-Near-Cache-size-and-Offheap-Eviction-policy-tp19p20.html Sent from the Apache Ignite Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
