the features earmarked for 2.2 have all been implemented:

I've cut a 2.2-rc2 release

This release also addresses a regression found in the fix for
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/JBEHAVE-127. I've kept the existing
2.1.x behaviour default, in which numbers are treated as lower case
letters, which can be overridden by new configurable behaviour in which
numbers are treated as upper case letters.
I'd like to cut 2.2 release in the next few days in order to get on to
the more meaty issues on the backlog.
Please give it whirl and let us know if there are any regressions or
show-stoppers.
