No, composition of stories is not really recommended, as stories are the end product.
You should focus instead on composition of steps http://jbehave.org/reference/stable/composite-steps.html or scenario parametrisation http://jbehave.org/reference/stable/parametrised-scenarios.html Both of these allow reuse of story logic - albeit only the part that you're interested in.
