About the next steps 1 and 2, I have tried all of the look and feel in oracle jdk 1.8.0_66 and openjdk 11.0.9. This problem occurs in all of the appearances which begin with "Darklef". The other themes do not have this problem.
I checked this problem in the nightly build 2020-11-20 (r1915-029de3e90d2e5a87b8363fac29098d9e9330bbf6). The problem does not occur.
