Ok, this is a bug.

Could you open a bug report?

This seems to be introduced by commit
db768c0e6fbffce8b8a1c64c867e47682a54866c in AxisGraph.

I am not sure, why the changes bad for the graph, but if I revert the
changes in AxisGraph, the bars reappear.
