Dear jUDDI Users

After some discussion on the developer mailing list, there seems to be some
consensus that it is time to move Apache jUDDI to the Attic. See
https://attic.apache.org/ for details. This process effectively marks the
project as retired and that no further releases or bug fixes will be made
by the jUDDI developer team.

Unfortunately, nearly everyone on the team has moved on to other projects
and due to extremely low mailing list traffic, JIRA requests or any direct
emails, it seems as if we are near the end of the road for support on jUDDI.

But not all hope is lost. If you still use Apache jUDDI, please let us
know. If it were discontinued and you are able to share your impact
statements, please do so. If you are interested in keeping the project
going, please let us know either by replying, privately or via the mailing
list or if you want, open a JIRA ticket with any requests for improvements
or bug reports. If you are a developer and wish to help contribute to the
project, again let us know and we'll get you pointed in the right direction.

Even if Apache jUDDI moves to the attic, the source code will always be
available.

This email is dated 2022-11-11. I anticipate that the vote for moving to
the attic will happen by the end of the year which should be ample time for
receipt and for any actions that you may take on this. Looking forward to
hearing from you all.

Alex
