Great that it works. As Eclipselink support is still quite fresh in
aries it would be cool to have an example for this.
Perhaps you could push a little example project to github for others to
check out. It is always easier to get started from a working example.

I've finally found the root cause of the error:

The bundle was not able to find the logging implementation thus Aries failed
to properly instantiate the persistence unit... The funny thing is that the
error message was only threw on the STDOUT not on the log file so I totally
missed id.
