Handling the bundle imports and export manually, would require more work than I'm willing to put in. Not only the manual config of maven-bundle-plugin for each jersey bundle, but also the feature runtime dependencies would have to be created manually instead of by karaf-maven-plugin. I think manual maven-bundle-config and manually created features will be hard to maintain, as well.
